My Bad Habit 50821陳則伶
“Ok, I know, I know.” I interrupted and left directly. When someone is trying to inform me of a message, I often chime in before they finish their speaking. Consequently, I seldom get the real point which they actually express and get into trouble afterwards.
For instance, one day, I accompanied my friend on her way home after school. Waving good-bye to each other, she kept telling me the direction home. “Ok, I know, I know,” my bad habit showed up again. I interrupted her and stepped on my way home immediately because we lived in the same neighborhood and there was nothing to worry about.
After I followed what she said-go straight and turn right-there was a two-way fork in front of me. I started to feel nervous because the sky was getting dark, having no idea where I am. Suddenly, a man stopped the car beside me. Thank God! That was my father and I ended up getting home safely.
Due to this experience, I learned that I should be more patient before getting the entire messages which might be a important information for me. Besides, it’s impoilt to chime in when someone is talking. No matter in what situation, I should make sure whether I realize others’ meanings. Otherwise, I could really be in trouble!
