    I will never forget the scene that Rose and Jack hugged. Titanic, once the largest ship in the world, had a ship accident. Rose with love, Jack sacrificed himself to save Rose’s life in the end.

    I think the movie can be so popular because their love touches our feelings. When the ship accident happened, I couldn’t help but cry, especially when I saw the captain wanted to commit suicide on the ship. He felt sorry for everyone.

    I have watched Titanic for several times. No matter how many times I watch it, it always touches my heart.     

                                     The Lord of the Ring              508 38 謝瑀倫

    The Lord of the Ring was the story which was adapted the novels for movies. The plots of this movie were about a group of people who wanted to protect the ring from the evil enemies because this ring had a mighty power that could control the world. So they began a long journey risking their lives. Even if they would dead, they all hope to achieve this task.

    The movie caused giant effects from all over the world, for instance, the novels, DVDs and video games of the movie had sold well. Besides, Holland, the country which was the site of the movie, became so popular with the visitors and moviegoers. The reasons for its popularity had different aspects. First, the story was so exciting and fully imaginative that it would never happen in the world. All people on the Earth had s risky mind and wanted to discover new things, so the movie had this traits so lead the people to face the challenges.

    Moreover, the tribes in the films had different attractive characters. For example, Tree men, the Hobbits, the spirits and so on. Each of them had special characteristics to attract audience who wanted to know about it.

    That why I like this movie.

The Devil Wearing Prada

  The story is about an ambitious girl. After graduating from the university, she dreamed of working in a famous fashion magazine. After being hired surprising, she found that her boss was hard to please. To meet the lady’s high requirement, she changed herself into a fashionable woman. However, she lost her true self and friendship. Consequently, she decided to quit her job and returned to look for a more meaningful life.

  From the movie, I learn a lesson that money and fame can’t buy everything. Although her boss is rich and famous, her life is empty. When we are enjoying the high social status, don’t ignore our family and friends. They also play important roles in our lives. Without them, we won’t be happy and we will only have a hollow mind.

        I have seen a movie, “Embracing Big White Bear” in my junior school.  In this movie, the little boy just wanted to be cared.  However, his parents divorced and both of them were busy with their business.  They didn’t know the boy’s hope was being cared until he left home.  Eventually, they found the boy back, and a harmonious family.

    I think the movie is touching; everyone needs parental love, including me.  To get parental love, we may please our parents by doing our best.  For example, we prepare for exams to get hood grades to make our parents glad.  Even though the little boy’s parents were so busy that they overlook his affection, he wasn’t angry nor blamed them.  It’s quite precious.

    To sum up, the movie gave me a thought: everyone feels like being taken care of since no one wants to be alone.

Why Slumdog Millionaire Attractive

  You can see a lot of people’s true-self in the movie-- Slumdog Millionaire. In order to live, the leading man named Jamal experienced several terrible things that others may not experienced in their own life. With the course of the film running, the heart will pumped fast.

  I think Slumdog Millionaire is the most attractive movie in 2009. Before seeing this movie, I didn’t know how miserable India’s life could be, although I had heard what India’s culture is like. The movie depicted the real situation in India clearly. People would feel surprised when they saw a teenager kill a man to escape the control of bad guys.

  Still many people like Jamal are going through this experience. The movie let me know if I waste something, there will be a lot of people death because of the fighting to contest for living resources.

        Rachel getting married was about a girl, Kym, who tried to forgive herself that she accidentally killed her brother and she also wanted to fix the relationship with her sister, Rachel, who disliked Kym because Kym often embarrassed her, like making a inappropriate toast in the dinner before wedding. After many arguments happened and fighting they finally understood and forgave each other in the wedding.

        At first, I really anticipated to see this movie, but I was so regretful after I had seen it. I don’t like the way it was directed. It was so boring that I almost fell asleep. Moreover, the script was meaningless. I don’t know what they wanted to express. In addition, I chose this movie because Anne Hathaway stared the movie, but I thought she didn’t act very well. I was really disappointed at her. At last, though this movie wasted my time, but I have learned a lesson- never pick a movie because your favorite actor or actress stars it.

Never see a movie just because your favorite actor or actress stars in it. I have seen a lot of Anne Hathaway’s movie. The Princess Diaries and Devil Wears Prada are everyone’s favorites. I would never imagine that she would be in a movie like this. Rachel getting married was not even about Rachel. It’s about Kym who struggled with the horrible things that she had done. When she was young, she took a lot of drugs and she accidentally killed her brother in a car accident. Rachel was her sister, who hated Kym for always embarrassing her. So Kym wanted to fix her relationship with her family.

The story was fine. The problem was both the director and the screenwriter. The characters talked too much and didn’t have a main point to their conversations. I was very dizzy during the movie that besieged me. Seeing a movie on the roller coaster makes people mad. It was a very sloppy work. The director and screenwriter call themselves professional. I would never see a movie directed or written by them again.

The Lord of the Rings (魔戒)

The movie is adapted from the novel of the same name by J.R.R.Tolkien. Frodo, the leading role in the book, took a ring with evil power. The power was evil enough to destroy the world, so the people in the world formed a team to destroy the ring.

I think this movie is touching because it describes humanity very well. For example, a character named Boromir, a prince of Gondor, loved his country so much that he wanted to get the ring to kill the evil lord, but he was confused by the ring. However, he was forgiven by the team members and died of saving Frodo's friend. Boromir is not a bad guy, but he was eager to be powerful. Because of his desire, he was lost. Greediness always leads to destruction. People usually can't bear temptation, nor can Boromir, but he still defeat his desire in the end. The movie demonstrated that people is infirm when the temptation is in front of them.

   Adapted from music play in 1960s, "Hairspray" describes a girl, Tracy, who is bravely in pursuit of her dream and tries to eliminate the unfair treatment from the black. She walked to the street and supported for the black. Finally she not only fulfilled her dream but also make the unfair treatment disappeared.  

   Our world unavoidably accepts the aggressive Western culture, so I think that this movie teaches us the important lesson of equality of different people, and the courage against the mainstream. For example, without swimming with the tide, Tracy stood up for the black.

   Even with the increasingly importance of human rights, racism still exists in the 21th century. People's attitude towards the culture of difference races usually adopt from their self-assereted opinions. People shouldn't discriminate other people because of different colors of skins and cultures.

Princess Mononoke 508 29 蔡宜芳

Princess Mononoke is a fabulous movie that brings me lots of inspiration about our environment. It is an animated film produced by Miyazaki, mainly describes a girl, growing up with a group of wolves and a cursed boy who strived against the human’s destruction of the forest.

  I believe that Princess Mononoke is an inspiring film, reminding people to pay more attention to the nature. For example, the animals in this movie lost their habitats which led to the monkeys came up with an idea to eat humankind. Besides, not only the monkeys, but also all creatures got together to fight against human finally.

  The movie, Princess Mononoke, teaches all of us a good lesson if we do not put more stress on protecting our environment, we will be a sacrifice in our hands,  

     My neighbor Totoro is a famous film from Hayao Miyazaki. It describes two sister moved in the country with their father because their sick mom need a clean environment to rest. These sisters knew Totoro, which was a god in the mountain, when they explored this new environment. After at, they met many nice people and fairies.

     I think this film is a cute movie. It helps me know the nature’s beauty with kid’s sight. The tree could grow up in one night. The dream of flying in the sky was being come true. I really want to move in the old house with the two sisters, so maybe I have some luck to see the fairies. I desire to wait for the bus with them after I can take the Cat Bus instead of common bus. These special things attract me to watch this film again and again.

Howl’s Moving Castle 50817邱睦傑

  Hayao Miyazaki, a great animator, made a lot of award-winning animations. Almost all adults and children like to see his movies and I do, too.

  The roles in Howl’s Moving Castle were Sophie and Howl.  Sophie worked in the cap shop, and Howl, a wizard, didn’t like wars and stay away from people and cities.  Like the works before, this animation was based on fantasy word, and people there fought each other with magic. I love the variety of characters in movies and the creativity of stories. Instead of many producer, Hayao Miyazaki always uses hand-drawn picture to product his movies.

  Although I have seen this animation many times, it still catches my eyes!

  The movie was about a postman who read some Japanese letters that he didn’t send. The letter was about the love between a Japanese man and a Taiwanese lady.

  I thought the movie was very boring and ordinary. Before I saw this movie, many people discussed it on the Internet. They said it was touching. But after I saw it, I found it not as attractive as people said. For example, people liked the director’s expression about Taiwanese culture and friendship, but I thought it was just like our normal life and nothing special. Furthermore, there were too many characters, but some of those characters were not special and important. I felt confused with too many characters. For example, the hotel cleaner, a mother of a single-parent family, was not so significant because she had nothing to do with the movie contents. I even thought that she was a passerby.

So I thought what people said was not always right. The best-selling movie might not be the best.

High School Musical 50812 李樺香

     High School Musical is a musical movie, which described high school life.  A girl, Gabriella, entered the East High School and changed everything.  She enabled the captain of a basketball team, Troy, sang in the musical.  As the most famous student in the school, his choice not only annoyed his teammates but also affected people around him.  However, with the love, the East High School student got rid of the problems and performed a terrific musical. 

     The most important element in the musical is the music.  Songs in High School Musical are beautiful and reflect what high school students thought.  “Gotta Go My Own Way” is the most famous song in the movie.  It talked about decision you made and the feeling girls had. 

     I like this movie because I am a high school student now.  Optimistic thoughts in this movie attract me.  I also want to have a special memory in my high school life, and you?

  Harry Potter, a story about a boy who is a wizard,is a best-selling series. It were written by J.K Rowling and adapted for movies.Harry Potter is my favorite movie because it was interesting,fantastic,and attractive.I think that it is worthy of seeing since there are always surprises in every minute, such as a new evil character who you wouldn't suspect.

  The special effects in the movie are also excellent. The actors fly in the sky just like they really can do that.I will imagine that I am also a wizard as Harry Potter made a magic.Seeing this movie will make you have more imagination and fun,and you will want to see it again and again.

  The movie described that a spy did a mission with his partner. He was a worker in the spy company at first. Then, he became a spy because a spy got hurt. He received a mission to stop a bomb in a concert.

  I think it is a funny movie. The spy’s equipment was cool. For example, his shoes not only could wear but could become a cell phone. The process of doing the mission is funny, too. Once, the actor’s jeans were burned by fire, but he didn’t know. Every audience in the concert saw his ass.

  It is a good movie and I gain some fun from the movie.

  Taken is an action movie which tells a father saved his daughter who went abroad with her friend but was abducted by bad men.   The saving process was shocking and made audience nervous all the time during the movie.

  I think Taken is very exciting because the father must save his daughter in a short time so that the girl could get out of danger.  The father killed many bad guys directly and the rhythm was very fast.  Therefore, I paid full attention to the movie.

  Besides, when I watched Taken, I felt touched because love was very great.  The father risked his life in order to save his daughter even though he hadn’t lived with her for a long time because the girl had a new father. Although the girl’s heart had flown into another man, the father still loved her and protected her without any complaint.  This was touching and invaluable!

  Taken is a successful movie because it is exciting and we can learn that family love us without a doubt.  I think Taken is worthwhile to watch.       

My Neighbor Totoro 508 40魏懿容

The film “My Neighbor Totoro” is a story about a father and two daughters moved to a new place and made friends with their neighbors and Totoro. Without his wife’s help, it was difficult for the father to take good care of the daughters, but their neighbors really helped them a lot though they were just strangers. Thanks to the neighbors’ kindness, the family was always filled with laughter.

One day, Mei Mei, one of the father’s daughters, was missing. After looking for her everywhere, they still had no idea about where she was. Then her sister turned to the animal called Totoro and found Mei Mei. Without Totoro’s help, the little sister might never come home. If it was not the people and Totoro, the family wouldn’t live a happy life.  

     The story began as a girl’s parents were punished as pigs because they ate god’s food. For saving her parents, as a result, the girl entered a magical place to work.

    I think the story is attractive to me. When I see the film, I will expect the story’s development. Besides, there are many special characters, such as a boy who can become a dragon and help the girl many things, and old man who has many hands and boils water for customers. The settings of the characters are interesting to me. In addition, I like the film’s details. In every frame, I even can see the small chairs, tables and many things on the corner. The small details be drawn clearly.

    I have watched the film’s many times, but it still catch my eyes and I want to watch it again and again.

  The movie“Secret”is a love story between two people of different times. They met by playing an old piano and fell in love with each other finally.

  Although the story is imaginary and sounds strange, I think it’s touching. The music in the movie is the part I like most. The melody is not only elegant but also makes the movie has a mysterious atmosphere.

  In contrast, there are some details of the movie aren’t clear. But maybe it’s because the director wants to leave some room for the audience to imagine.

  People who like classical music can go to watch the movie. It can lead you to a wonderful world.

Quantum of Solace

Last summer I went to a movie: 007 sequels-Quantum of Solace.  It was one of the most fabulous movies I have ever seen.  Because I was late for the movie, as I stepped in the theater, I was worried about disturbing the people inside. Nevertheless, to my surprise, everyone seemed to be caught by the movie and thus wasn’t aware of me.  Suddenly, a tremendous voice shocked me.  It was the leading actor, Bon’s car that exploded.

  One reason that makes me fall in love with this movie is its extremely excitement.  It seemed like there will always be a new plot that attract me, and most of all, you don’t know what will happen at the next moment.  The love between the agent and the woman is also an important element in this movie.  All these make up the fantastic movie.  I believe many people like this movie as I do.  50836蕭行雅
